- 5 Powerful Weapons:
* CROSSBOW - Good all-round weapon. Average long distance weapon, average close contact weapon. The Crossbow is not particularly powerful, but very reliable.
* PLASMA RIFLE - Good long distance weapon. Poor close contact weapon. The Plasma Rifle has the advantage of having electrically charged balls of plasma which do not break up on impact. This means that the ball continues onward after the initial attack to take on the next in line. Much more power than the crossbow.
* CHAIN GUN - Excellent long range weapon. Poor close contact weapon. The Chain Gun has an extremely high rate of fire annihilating anything in its path. The bullets leave the gun at a high speed giving it a long range. A very powerful weapon.
* FIREBLADE - Poor long distance weapon. Excellent close contact weapon. The FireBlade consists of a blade of heat that spins around Theseus slicing through anything it touches. It is a close contact weapon and requires Theseus to be almost touching the enemy before it lets loose its deadly carnage. Skill must be used to ensure you are not hit in the process. Dangerously powerful weapon.
* NUKE - The most powerful weapon in your arsenal. The Nuke is a bomb that destroys all other life in an arena. It does have a timing device and will detonate after a short period to allow you to get out of the way. Use bombs sparingly and master the art of timing.
- Timed bomb arenas. These special arenas have guards wandering around dropping bombs. Theseus must deactivate them before they explode. Only when you have destroyed all the guards does the exit open. It can be quite a hair raising experience!
- Heaps of pickups. (Potions, Keys, Food, Money, Weapons, Scrolls, Orbs, etc.)
- Underground levels.
- Mini quests. Quests within quests. The Final Odyssey will take you on many journeys, all different and unique!
- Superb CD 3D Rendered Cinematic Introduction Sequence!
- A host of brain bending, logical puzzles.
- Maze Transformations. Sometimes when you flick a swith the maze will mysteriously change into another. This in known as a 'maze transformation'. It can often allow you access to passages previously hidden.
- Heaps of Nasties. (Flamers, Electric Bolts, Homing missiles, Pits, Spikes, Rolling rocks, One-way paths, Bouncing balls, Timed bombs, Trap doors, Invisible walls, Transporters, Fall-away tiles, etc.)
- Every monster in the Labyrinth is unique, with its own personality, strength and aggresiveness. As they behave so differently, they can be very unpredictable. Some monsters are quite weak and will retreat if they're losing the battle, others will fight to the death. Their intelligence varies significantly. Some move randomly throughout the corridors, others will hunt you down no matter where you hide. Each type of monster has their own strengths and weaknesses that you will have to learn if you wish to make it through the labyrinth.
There are 3 main types of monsters you will encounter:
* GUARDS - These are quite common and often have metal armour to protect them against some weapons. They are not very intelligent, but their numbers usually make up for their lack of grey matter. They live beneath the Labyrinth and come to the surface via holes in the ground.
* ORCS - Orcs are quite strong and can be very smart. They usually disguise themselves as parts of the Labyrinth and rely on surprise attacks. Orcs are hunters and work together to use co-ordinated attack patterns to entrap their victims, they will also guard objects of importance.
* GOOLYNS - These mysterious water-like creatures live just beneath the surface and form into shapes when threatened. They fire parts of themselves, which will freeze anything on contact. Once frozen, the Goolyn will move in to attack once more, making them a deadly addition to the Labyrinth.
